Mentors and trains Mechanical Techs and Data Center Operations team members and helps increase their effectiveness and skillset on HVAC and mechanical plant related systems.RESPONSIBILITIESData Center Management:Lead peers other Mechanical Plant Techs by providing direction on operation and maintenance.Trains and develops lower-level employees.Directly Responsible for the entire mechanical plant and HVAC infrastructureActs as Subject Matter Expert and highest-level support for the operation and maintenance of the Data Center HVAC systems.Leads mechanical plant and HVAC projects assigned to Data Center TeamDetermines strategies and leads projects for opportunities for improvement and architecture changes. Leads largest projects related to data center design, construction, and certifications.Leads largest projects related to data center mechanical systems construction and design to achieve Uptime Institute Data Center Tier levels.Develops and implements strategies to ensure proper power, cooling and other capacity needs.Develops and oversees programs for inspections, maintenance, and repairs of the mechanical plant and HVAC systems within the data center facility.Develops and implement programs to monitor and analyze environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity, and airflow, using specialized tools and equipment.As required must be available on a 24-hour basis for emergency support.
