Reporting to the Product Development Engineering Manager, you will use a gated development process and Six Sigma tools. Work with Project Manager and Product Manager to define project scope Conduct jobsite Gemba with product manager to define Job To be Done (JTBD), identify current practices, existing IP and unmet needs Proactively manage Intellectual Property Strategy from Provisional to Final Patent Apply NPD process tools to identify and prioritize CTQ targets Identify and acquire internal and external development resources to generate potential solutions that meet project demands Bring potential solutions through NPD stage gate process while continuously narrowing focus toward best potential concepts for commercialization Design experiments and testing process to evaluate effectiveness of potential concepts Ensure manufacturability of selected solution for commercialization Minimize solution cost / maximize potential value and profitability Define and conduct FMEA to maximize potential success of new product Work with Quality team to develop and implement QAQC process.
