Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Systems Architect to join our Commercial IT team This role will focus on designing and developing transformational initiatives and leading approaches to streamline and consolidate the architecture that supports our Commercial Enterprise systems. We are proud of the significant technical maturity in our team over the last several years attributable to maturing technical talent and strong enterprise level commitment to common, modern platforms promoting reusability and sustainability. This additional technical leader will be key to further advancing this success Ideal candidates possess experience with modern tooling, including .NET framework, C#, React, Azure Infrastructure, Distributed System Design, Azure DevOps, Instrumentation, and API Design including REST. Preferred candidates will have experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry specific to Commercial Enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

This individual will be responsible for architecting and designing core IT applications, platforms, infrastructure, and/or services to support business objectives, capabilities, and data. Responsible for analyzing and translating business, application, information, and technical requirements into architecture definition, plans, and documentation. Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and solutions to solve business problems. Evaluates existing and emerging technologies to propose recommended investments, assessing the total cost of ownership and return on investment of various alternatives. Guides and mentors senior technical professionals in creating and maintaining system-specific patterns, best practices, and models. Provides assurance of system design for conformance to enterprise standards. Works with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders during planning and implementation of new solutions. Performs work with a high degree of latitude. Handles the most complex issues. Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

Preferred Experience and Skills
• 8 or more years of related experience
• Intermediate proficiency .NET framework, C#
• Experience with Azure Infrastructure and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Data Analytics, Instrumentation, Secure coding practices including Securing Configuration, Distributed System Design, and API Design including REST
• Experience with various Design Patterns, Diagrams- Architectural, UML, etc.,
• Experience with front-end framework to create Single Page Applications/Micro Frontends using React
• Preferred experience with P&C Insurance Domain, ideally Duck Creek Technologies
• Can effectively support IT teams by identifying, planning, and implementing automated processes
• Can effectively communicate, influence, and challenge IT peers
• Sees a solution through to its full delivery - facilitates business value achievement, not just individual code
• Shares knowledge, mentors junior team members, advocates best practices
