We are excited to provide training and development for a Commercial Lines Insurance Assistant entry-level opportunity. This role is hybrid and would require 3 days in-office at our White Plains, NY office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Retrieve policy documents from carrier websites for new business, cancellations, endorsements, audits, non-pay & reinstatement notices.
- Policy checking for new business, re-writes & endorsements.
- Process endorsement and certificate requests as received daily.
- Process cancellations, non-pay notices & reinstatements.
- Support in the processing binders of insurance, policies, and audits.
- Handle billing inquiries.
- Maintain account files in an orderly sequence according to established procedures.
- Enter all required data into the system to maintain current file data.
- Maintain a follow-up system for correspondence/requests.
- Provide back-up to other Commercial Assistants.
- Scanning and other clerical tasks, as assigned.
- Assist the marketing department as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of insurance experience required
- Active Property & Casualty license, or willingness to obtain a license within your first year of employment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills are required.

This position has an annual range of $55-60k, depending upon experience, to be paid on an hourly basis.
