Role Description:

The finance group centralizes transaction processes, providing accurate reporting, financial resolutions, and proper forecasting analysis. Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, and revenue recognition.

The Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for assisting in the monthly close process, including preparation of (i) monthly journal entries, (ii) account reconciliations, and (iii) variance analyses related to the monthly results. Other responsibilities for this position include assisting in implementation of changes and enhancements to the Companys Enterprise Resource Planning system. This position will also work with the Financial Planning and Analysis team and meet with various other departments to understand fluctuations from budget and forecast and to help enhance our month-end close processes. This position may also get exposure to technical accounting issues, including business combinations and integrations, and have interactions with our external auditors.

The Senior Accountant should have a general knowledge Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience (i) working within a monthly close process, (ii) implementing accounting systems, (iii) preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. The Senior Accountant should be eager to learn and demonstrate high energy, time management and organizational skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparation of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules and review of monthly financial results.

Assistance with special projects within department or as part of cross-functional teams.

Work with external auditors and facilitate review of the close process, account reconciliations and variance analyses.

Ensure timely monthly close and accurate monthly results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or related from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.

5 years accounting experience working in a large international public company and/or Big 4 accounting firm.

Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP.

Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.

Licensed CPA or candidate.

Strong project management, time management and communication skills.

Ability to think critically and analyze data effectively.

Ability to work effectively within a team to complete projects.
