The Role

Are you interested in supporting financial analysis for the Asset Management Tech (AMT) 2,000 person, $400M portfolio across 9 different business domains in three different countries? Asset Management has been adding products and services over the last three years like never before which requires new or expanded technology capability to enable scale and efficiency while ensuring risk mitigation across the entire organization.

We are looking for a Senior Manager Finance that has a proven track record to combine a strategic business perspective with strong project management, analytical skills, and a curious approach to understand AM business, initiatives, and strategy supported by AM shared services of the Tech, Compliance Risk and Business Operations (CRBO) and Finance and Fund Oversight (FFO) business unites in AM. The person in this position will have financial analysis experience in defining project scope and execution while leveraging and mentoring junior associates and will work with other finance teams both in Asset Management and within other Fidelity businesses, all while maintaining a high level of quality. The Senior Manager will work within a collaborative team of Analyst and Director level peers, including team members and business partners in India and Ireland. Experience with technology finance, Cloud Service Providers, or Financial Operations is highly desirable.

The Asset Management Finance Team collaborates with a variety of partners including senior management, central finance, and the strategy teams to drive finance initiatives and results across Asset Management and Fidelity. As a member of the Finance team, you will also have multiple opportunities to lead and/or contribute to critical short- and long-term Asset Management wide finance initiatives.

This position will report to the Vice President of Finance for Asset Management for technology and shared services within the broader Asset Management Finance and Funds Oversight group.

The Value You Deliver

Directly support AM Tech domains and the Finance and Fund Oversight group (FFO)

As their primary finance lead, including working directly with L3 leaders and their teams.
  • Lead the evolving development of the predictive models for all cloud service providers: AWS, Snowflake, Azure, etc. across all AM tech domains working with FINOPS leads to enable improved forecasting with the inclusion of growth drivers and optimizations. This area of dynamic growth and change provides a unique opportunity to facilitate learning by more transparent variance analyses of actual results compared to expectations and plans.
  • Lead budgeting & forecasting equipment and software spend across AM Tech domains and all direct expenses for assigned tech domains and all of FFO including software budgets, forecasts, and quarterly technology portfolio planning using Anaplan software.
  • Oversee the reporting of monthly results and analyses including TBM and GL views of Expense and Headcount while providing insight and analysis.
  • Partner directly and develop positive relationships with Strategy Enablement team through insightful planning, analysis, and reporting of labor and non-labor spend as well as capacity planning and efficiency reviews.
  • Lead and support analytical review for technology initiative spend in support of AM businesses/products as well as for end-to-end Tech processes as it relates to efficiency of core and common Tech processes.
  • Mentor team members to help them develop core finance skills.


The Expertise You Have

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics combined with a minimum of 6+ years' work experience in a finance capacity.

Demonstrated strength in data analysis and model development and review.

Project Management from concept to conclusion while working with multiple senior stakeholders.

Excellent knowledge of financial model design and visualization (using tools such as Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint, Anaplan and Think-Cell) and proven track record for the build, evaluation, and improvement of sophisticated models.

Demonstrated financial statement analysis and skills to identify/resolve detailed financial issues while understanding larger business context.

Experience in financial services industry is highly desired.

Knowledge of agile operating concepts including Scrum is valuable.

MBA, CPA, Data analytics certifications is valuable.

Knowledge of Cloud Service Provider services and costing is valuable.
