We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Manager for a nationally recognized civil & water/wastewater contractor. They have an extensive backlog of pump station, water treatment and pipeline work across Oregon. Your leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in managing complex infrastructure projects will be pivotal in driving success in the region and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including government agencies, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team, to ensure efficient collaboration and communication.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks, challenges, and opportunities in a proactive manner.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards, maintaining a strong focus on quality control and assurance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and claims, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, including progress reports, financial analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify work quality, adherence to plans, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction or Water/Wastewater sector, overseeing large-scale projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of highway and bridge construction methods, materials, and standards.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Sound understanding of contractual agreements, change management, and claims resolution.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
