Sr. Brand & Creative Director Role: Sr. Brand & Creative Director Type: Full-Time Location: Remote Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 depending on experience Our mission at Electric Coin Co. (ECC) is to empower economic freedom, and to that end, we created and launched the Zcash digital currency in 2016. Today, along with other independent Zcash teams and developers, we continue to support Zcash through protocol and product developments. ECC is also the creator of the Zashi app, a Zcash-powered mobile wallet built for private payments. As we expand our marketing efforts, we're looking for a Sr. Brand & Creative Designer who will define and elevate our visual identity to bring Zcash and Zashi narratives to life. This is a high-impact role for a deeply skilled designer with exceptional taste, strong creative instincts, and the ability to both define a brand system and execute pixel-perfect assets that translate complex technology into simple and polished visuals. You will work with the Head of Marketing to shape how the world perceives Zcash and Zashi. Why This Role Matters The future of financial privacy depends on trust, clarity, and emotional resonance. What You'll Do Turn complex technology into simple, beautiful visuals Study the technology behind Zcash and Zashi and transform the complexities of the technology into visuals that anyone can understand. Break down complex systems and UX processes into clear, easily digestible infographics. This is a high priority. Develop design narratives that make privacy human, accessible, and empowering. Produce visual explanations, educational assets, and storytelling illustrations. Deliver pixel-perfect execution Produce meticulous, highly polished design work every time. Maintain extreme attention to detail in spacing, layout, color, symmetry, composition, and typography. Take pride in creating assets that feel refined, intentional, and visually flawless. Bring concepts to life at a high creative bar Take narrative ideas or loose creative concepts and expand them into multiple compelling visual directions. Consistently deliver work that exceeds expectations: more depth, more clarity, more refinement, more imagination. Work autonomously and proactively, proposing creative solutions and elevating every brief. Collaborate and iterate Work closely with the Head of Marketing and a marketing optimization specialist to A/B test visuals, evaluate performance data, and refine designs based on audience engagement. Incorporate feedback quickly and thoughtfully, without losing momentum. Craft and evolve multiple brands Drive the evolution of ECC's and Zashi's visual identity: typography, color, iconography, illustration style, and visual language. Help shape the future of Zcash's visual identity Create brand guidelines and reusable assets that unify the product and marketing experience for Zashi. Design world-class visuals for campaigns, social media, websites, landing pages, presentations, infographics, and feature announcements. Support product marketing with App Store images, UI-based visuals and videos, and onboarding graphics. You intuitively understand shape, pattern, proportion, balance, visual hierarchy, and conceptual abstraction. You can think in systems, not just individual assets. You can look at a design and instantly see what needs refinement. Design mastery and craftsmanship 6+ years of experience in leading brand, creative, or visual design roles. A portfolio that shows mastery across brand identity, illustration, iconography, and digital design. Strong instincts for typography, layout, color theory, and composition. Motion graphics or video editing experience is a strong plus. High personal standards You're an artist. You obsess over details: the type of designer who fixes a 1px alignment and feels joy doing it. You take pride in delivering polished, thoughtful work that goes far beyond "good enough." You bring craftsmanship, taste, and emotional intelligence to your design decisions.
