Covenant Care California, LLC, located in beautiful Aliso Viejo, CA is looking for a kind, smart, self-motivated and flexible Generalist for our HR Department. This job is Full-time, In-Office, Mon-Fri., regular work hours approx. 8:00 or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 or 5:30 p.m., depending on need and breaks.

We make a difference by supporting Home Health and Skilled Nursing Companies/facilities throughout the State of California and Nevada. We provide a fun, safe work environment.

We pay $75,000 annualized if you meet all the requirements of the position, but will consider hourly wage of $27-$32/hour If you have some, but not all the skills - with the goal of learning those skills and earning the exempt status/wage within the first year of employment. EXAMPLE: If you have managed Leaves of Absence, independently in California for at least 1 year, but are not familiar with the Interactive Discussion process or Compliance/Investigations - you would be offered an hourly wage until those skills are being properly executed without oversight. This position will

support the department of 6 in all aspect of HR (employment law, compliance, recruiting/on-boarding, employee relations and engagement, benefits, policy/procedure development and interpret/guide associated businesses and facilities with specialist responsibilities in Leave of Absences (LOA), Interactive Discussions and Employee Relationship/Compliance/Investigations.

The Right Candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in CA LOA, Interactive Discussion and Employee Relations
OR
  • Bachelors degree in related field with1-2 years experience in the above
  • Skilled Nursing or Healthcare Experience preferred - but not required
  • Considerable knowledge of CA Employment Law
  • Experience managing LOA's, Interactive Discussion process, and Investigations/Employee Relations
  • Professional demeanor - does not react emotionally and can remain calm under stress
  • Ability to self-direct work and effectively multi-task
