Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary: The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for accurately and timely processing of employee payroll data, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and addressing employee inquiries and issues related to payroll. This role is critical in maintaining the smooth operation of the organization's payroll system and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Payroll Coordinator:

  1. Data Entry: Input employee time and attendance data from timesheets, production records, or individual time cards into the computerized payroll system with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Payroll Processing: Balance and reconcile payroll runs, ensuring accurate calculations of gross pay, deductions, and net pay for employees.
  3. Tax Compliance: Produce and submit federal, state, and local tax payments and reports in accordance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
  4. Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to payroll, including discrepancies, deductions, and tax-related questions.
  5. Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, files, and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.
  3. Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
