We are seeking a Utilization Management (UM) Claims Referral Specialist to join our growing team

The ideal candidate lives near our Corporate Office Location in Tustin, CA

The Claims Referral Specialist is responsible for daily processing of dental claims and/or pre-authorizations/referrals within plan timelines. Must be able to meet or exceed production goals and quality scores. Employee must maintain a professional demeanor and have good attendance. Job function may differ depending on area of assignment (e.g. claims, referrals, pre-estimates).

Job Summary Details:
  • Data Entry
  • Benefit determination and claims or pre-authorization and specialty referral processing
  • Maintain current knowledge of the service level agreements (SLA) and state regulations for processing purposes
  • Promote and support a teamwork culture and environment
  • Maintain a safe and productive working environment following established protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned or determined appropriate
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • High School or equivalent required
  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
  • 1+ years' experience processing dental claims experience required
Specific Skills/Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet objectives
  • Type a minimum of 40 wpm
  • 10-key by touch
    • Please be prepared to complete Online Skills Assessments as part of the hiring and interview process.
  • Strong communication, presentation and customer service skills
  • Front/back-office experience in a dental office preferred

Compensation:

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $19.26 - $23.50 hourly, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
