The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance within the organization's assets. Job duties include data collection, systematizing, tracking, and reporting across a variety of disciplines. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and tracking systems to increase regulatory reliability and transparency. As a Regulatory Analyst, this position is required to engage with a variety of technical disciplines. Key Accountabilities

Develops compliance strategies and tracking systems related to the organization's subsurface regulatory requirements. Collects and organizes data from multiple sources and creates new processes for managing that data to support subsurface compliance. Reports on the compliance status of subsurface projects to key stakeholders and leadership. Provides regulatory guidance on mechanical integrity testing requirements and Underground Injection Control Projects. Required to remain informed on changing regulatory requirements, develop versatile processes, and rapidly adapt them to fit business requirements. Identify and independently drive improvement initiatives to existing framework. Collaborates with internal teams to effectively meet departmental goals. Prepares and submits regulatory filings and reports to appropriate agencies. Ensures compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and operational regulations. Supports the technical teams as they respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies. Complies with all the Company's Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective action within training limitations. Escalates as necessary. Participates in and adheres to all training programs designed to enhance HSE knowledge, safety standards, and job performance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Certificates, Licenses

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the energy or oil & gas industry

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Critical:

Working knowledge of the UIC Regulatory Framework in California. Experience in office administration, data collection, and file/data management. Ability to function independently across multiple technical disciplines.

Required:

Analytical and problem-solving skills. Written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills and ability to manage large sets of data. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Desired:

Experience communicating with regulatory agencies. Project planning/management experience. WellSTAR experience.

Work Environment

Primarily office work environment Routine work involves common office activities during a typical 9-hour day such as standing, sitting, walking, typing, and twisting as necessary. May be required to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must follow all company safety policies, including when visiting field locations.
