Job Description:

The Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse will support quality improvement initiatives through clinical expertise and analytical skills using rigorous quality improvement processes.

Position Details:

This role will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Essential Functions

Lead and participate in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient care and safety.
Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement evidence-based policies and procedures to improve clinical practices.
Provide training and support to clinical staff on quality improvement methodologies and best practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, including those set by accrediting bodies and healthcare organizations.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective quality improvement strategies.
Prepare detailed reports on quality improvement activities, outcomes, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
Advocate for patient safety and quality care by identifying and addressing barriers to high-quality care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
Current RN license.
Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, medical acronyms, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology and ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG, and APR-DRG classification systems.
Demonstrated clinical nursing experience.
Demonstrated experience with the application of and success with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or PDSA/IHI Model for Improvement.
Demonstrated experience in healthcare performance improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare data collection background.
Leadership experience.
Experience with Quality Improvement with focus on Sepsis and ERAS.

Physical Requirements:

Physical Requirements

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs when the leader takes clinical shifts.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing, and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$38.02 - $67.53
