WHAT YOU'LL DO:

MGT is a leading technology services organization specializing in the design, implementation, security, maintenance, and on-going management of wired and wireless converged network solutions. We are currently looking to fill a Senior Implementation position in our San Antonio, TX branch location. This position will join our current engineering and deployment staff to deploy solutions to solve their technology needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing installers during on-site phases of projects, I.E. large switch, and wireless deployments
  • Product deployments including Layer 2 edge switching, Layer 3 switching, and wireless. The focus of the position will be the physical installation aspects of deployments.
  • Organize and provide leadership for Jr and part time installers.
  • Provide an escalation point for issues occurring on installations in the area.
  • Assist with receiving (scanning and assigning inventory to specific customers/jobs) and organizing inventory.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving physical installation problems (I.E. obtaining the correct height ladder, identifying the need of an SDS hammer drill vs a cordless hammer drill etc)
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and strong communication skills are required.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with installing/troubleshooting networking equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with networking hardware (wired and wireless)
  • Limited travel to regional customers.
  • Must be able to work well and collaborate with other engineering staff members.
  • Pass background checks for K-12 customers on an ongoing basis.
  • Military or similar experience leading a team is preferred.
  • Experience with physical aspects of network installations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet etc. product suites are preferred.
