Qualifications

  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid Neonatal NP in Georgia (GA)

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Excellence: Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to neonates in a Level-III NICU.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including nursing staff and pediatric sub-specialists.
  • 24-Hour Coverage: Offer round-the-clock, in-house coverage, including on-call duties for neonatal transport and high-risk deliveries.
  • Comprehensive Care: Assess critically ill newborns and manage their care using advanced techniques such as conventional ventilation and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV).
  • NICU Management: Oversee the care of a 20-bed NICU, which averages 1,500 deliveries per year and nearly 300 NICU admissions.
  • Transport Services: Coordinate care for approximately 15-20% of admissions that come from surrounding hospitals.
  • Community Integration: Provide care in a region known for its picturesque landscapes and proximity to renowned institutions such as Cornell University.
