Professional Tax Accountant

Michael D. Peroo, CPA, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience preparing and reviewing personal and business tax returns. The ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge of UltraTax or other tax-related software and possess exceptional communication abilities to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex personal and business tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and deadlines.
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to resolve complex tax issues.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients to optimize financial outcomes.
- Work with business clients on accounting matters throughout the year.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and address inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate advice and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years of tax accounting experience, focusing on personal and business returns.
- Proficiency in using UltraTax or similar tax preparation software.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) for interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines efficiently.
- Advanced problem-solving skills with a proactive and client-focused approach.
