Job Overview
The Supply Chain Planning Production Scheduling Manager manages the planning and workflow of production and distribution of CCCI's full goods for our internal sales system. Priorities are placed on making sure products are available to sell and in the right locations, while maintaining inventory levels as low as possible across the system.
The Supply Chain Planning Manager role partners with the Manufacturing team (both VPs, all Site Directors, all Production Directors and other leadership personnel at all 11 production sites).
Manages innovation execution processes (new SKU launches, product conversions, in and outs and exits) strategies. Works cross-functionally with Product Supply Planning on project initiatives to support best business decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Customer Management
- Manages Production Center (PC) locations and coordinates with raw materials and Production Center (PC) Managers on production line capacity assessments to include (PC) available run time opportunities and maximize for any identified production open line time.
- Works directly with warehouse managers on out of stocks (OOS), inventory levels for staffing workflow and making any necessary production schedule changes.
- Collaborates on measured KPIs including Customer Service, Closed Dated Report (CDR) - in date obsolescence), In Source and Inventory Days Of Supply (DOS).
- Provide insightful and educated answers to Non-Trade Sales support requests for full goods orders that ensures franchise business is secure while also optimizing additional production opportunities.
- Evaluates product run sizes at all plants with the focus on reducing run sizes.
- Innovation/Project Management
- Manages status updates on new and sensitive item production and reports any production changes and/or risks.
- Develops new item launch planning and drives decisions on open line-item opportunities.
- Collaborates with Product Supply Planning Manager on any change of sourcing decisions.
- Downtime/Project Management
- Manages execution of production line downtime planning.
- Determines plant line downtime support scenarios and tracks execution of plan to minimize cost and customer service impact.
- Determines the balance of maintaining incremental inventory levels to support the business and the risks associated with minimizing additional capital investment.
- Collaborates with cross-functional leaders in Product Supply Planning, Manufacturing and Warehousing.
- System and Process Management
- Leads in upgrade and implementation efforts.
- Directs new hire onboarding process for training processes as it relates to efficient/effective scheduling techniques and a resource for scheduling related activities.
- Provides guidance and direction to Production Scheduling Planners regarding best practices for scheduling methods and capacity balancing across the system.
- Performs as subject matter expert on the utilization of SAP and Blue Yonder systems in the management of production scheduling to maximize production output and to assist in the professional development of the production scheduling team members.
- Management and Leadership
- Manages a team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership.
- Sales and Operations Planning.
- Significant data analysis experience and capability and a proven record of analytical and fact-based problem-solving.
- Significant experience with SAP/Blue Yonder Planning Systems/Supply Chain/Procurement. Strong written and presentation skills.
- Project Management experience with inventory and capacity management methodologies.
- Leadership experience required.
- Ability to effectively communicate up and down the various levels of the organization.
- Ability to develop key relationships across the operational functions of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
- Degree focused in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering
