Job Purpose: Under limited supervision, this position performs technical tasks to produce complex drawings through efficient use of CAD technology. Demonstrates knowledge of specifications and how they are applied in the production of engineering drawings. This position also provides directions, support and training to other employees. Follows established work processes and develops improvements to process with management oversight. Required Minimum Qualifications: - Associate degree or equivalent work experience - 2+ years experience in a combination of the following areas: o CAD/computer hardware & software experience (imaging and drafting) o Electronic Document Management Systems o Transmission & Substation processes o Record retention o Project management - Expert ability with integrity & compliance skills - Competent ability with communications, leadership, process/project management, and professional skills - Competent ability with analysis and problem and commercial skills Preferred Qualifications: - Professional certification - Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience - Six Sigma certification Yellow Belt Primary (Essential) Job Functions (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company.): - AIM System - Technical and Engineering documentation - Direction & Training for others - Managing/supporting special projects - Clerical functions in support of projects - Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance - NERC Standard Compliance - Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements - Ability to work extended hours Secondary Job Functions: - Performs other job-related duties as assigned Job Standards: Performance will be based on successful completion of all job functions up to the productivity standards and timeframes established and directed by Management.

NEET Transmission / GIS Analyst Job Description

Position Specific Description

The expansion of the transmission system will pave the way for a carbon-free future that allows renewables to be implemented in resource optimal locations and transported to load centers. In order to achieve this goal, significant amounts of new transmission infrastructure will need to be built. NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) is the leading competitive transmission developer in the US and Canada to develop transmission solutions that enable this future. The NEET Transmission Analyst - GIS will work with management and project developers in support of transmission development throughout the US and Canada. This position is responsible for supporting Sr Transmission Analysts GIS with data modeling, moderately complex special projects including maps, digital data, reports, and statistics; identify and deliver innovative solutions and development paths; and coordinate completion of projects with quality deliverables.

Job Overview

Employees in this role provide Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping, technical support, and data analysis, mining, and maintenance, to meet NEET internal and external customers' requirements. This position supports development and land acquisition goals related to NEET's current projects and RFP submissions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Provides support for routing and site suitability analysis for substation and transmission projects.

Provides map production to executives, management, multidiscipline business units, RFP responses, etc.

Able to interpret and map legal descriptions from exhibits, deeds, tax appraisers.

Completes research to correct and update existing databases.

Performs data mining activities to acquire publicly available data.

Provides specialized queries and reports to meet customer requirements/specifications.

Interfaces with users; documents/maps requested/needed changes.

Skilled with Model Builder, to help automate current manual processes.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
