We are seeking a skilled Public Safety Telecommunicator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and processing calls, dispatching emergency services, and providing support to law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency responders.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our citizens and visitors.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You must be able to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, as well as maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive situations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process calls from the public, determining the nature of the call and assigning the appropriate response
- Dispatch emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance units
- Provide critical information to responders, including location, situation, and any other relevant details
- Coordinate responses with multiple agencies and stakeholders
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless communication and coordination
