Job Summary:

Tenaska's Human Resources Capability and Public Relations Department is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team for the summer of 2024. As an intern, you will support the HRC and PR teams with various tasks and projects related to these business functions. This is a unique opportunity for a self-driven individual to gain practical experience in the energy sector and contribute to our business initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Participate in and support activities surrounding corporate initiatives (e.g. promulgation of core values materials) and events (e.g. College World Series) and
  • Collaborate with the teams to update and create collateral for internal communications and education.
  • Contribute to the assessment and selection (hiring) process and other HR activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Communicate to supervisor and team and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Reliable, dependable, and predictable attendance is required.
Education/Experience/Skills

Basic Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a fully accredited bachelor's and/or master's degree program in Communications, Journalism or PR, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
