The Human Resources Executive owns the Human Capital life cycle of the organization. Working in collaboration with other departments, the Human Resources Executive plays a vital role in feeding, developing, and maintaining the lifeline of the company. The Human Resources Executive reports and serves as an internal consultant to the Chief Operations Officer.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Organizational Strategy:


· Implements/administers human resources strategies including organizational structure, ensuring human resources objectives are in line with the organization strategic plan.

· Manages human resources operations by creating strategies and applying the corresponding policies/procedures for an exceptional recruiting, orienting, training experience coaching, counseling, disciplining, and terminating staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation to ensure competitiveness within the market and equity within the organization; recommending strategies to reduce absenteeism and turnover; resolving problems; implementing change.

· Establishes department accountabilities in human resources compliance through the application of the corresponding policies/practices for every function.

· Stays current on industry standards by continuing education, reading publications, talking with peers, and joining professional groups.

· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.

· Supports human resources operation financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

· Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


Talent Management:


· Guides management and employee actions by communicating and fostering organization values through up-to-date policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

· Collaborates with department heads to ensure that job descriptions are regularly reviewed and updated as duties change, and roles evolve. Ensures that new and accurate job descriptions are written when new positions are created and filled.

· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.


Employee Experience:


· Acts as a credible activist for the employees by informing and listening to them on different topics that are relevant to the employee.

· Establishes and implements HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Provides a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.

· Assists in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbooks and contributes to policy development and/or updates.

· Communicates and enforces safety and health protocols as part of the company culture.

· Implements/administers initiatives that proactively promote mental, physical, social, and financial well-being of employees.


Administrative responsibilities:


· Assists with the preparation and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.

· Handles all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in the BambooHR information system and audits for accuracy and compliance.

· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

· Verifies compliance documentation (i.e., licensure, certifications, immunizations, etc.) to ensure accuracy according to regulatory specifications.

· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

· Tracks performance reviews and records its results and related pay raises.

· Manages the full suite of employee benefits from offering to termination.

· Manages FMLA and other leave of absence notices and requests from employees, coordinating as needed with COO.

· Tracks and manages incident reports from employees, coordinating as needed with COO.

· Participates in the investigation of accidents and preparation of reports for insurance carrier(s), coordinating as needed with COO. If requested, represents the organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.

· Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.

· Maintains documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.

· Conducts HR compliance audits of all the personnel files, including current and past employees, to ensure all regulatory standards and legal requirements are met and appropriately documented to avoid legal liabilities.

· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

· Assists with preparation of government reports.

· Performs other duties as assigned by COO.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Knowledge of HR specific laws; employment, and labor laws.

· 2 years' experience preferred.

· Bilingual, English & Spanish.

· Experience with BambooHR software preferred.

ADDITIONAL NOTES


This is a full-time, 40hrs/week position with typical business hours (8 am-5 pm). Some evenings and weekends may be needed.
