Responsibilities:Supervise and direct the work of the QA Project Engineers, QA Supervisors, and Quality Auditor staffDevelop and implement a quality program which insures conformity of purchased material and final products to strict quality standards, while maintaining business volumes to the customerMeet with quality representatives to discuss and resolve quality problems as requiredOversee the containment process of suspect product and manage the sorting operationsManage the feedback for suspect product and any monetary claims associated with these issuesCoordinate with Product Engineering department in support of current and new product launchWork closely with Manufacturing Department personnel in support of production operationsFollow-up on customer complaints and warranty claimsReview and ensure that all testing requirements have been metManage and Maintain Production and Customer Volume RequirementsProvide data metrics to corporate QA and plant management regarding rejection, Parts Per Millions (PPMs) 5Ps, and improvement plansManage and maintain production and customer volume requirementsParticipate in ongoing performance management including but not limited to evaluations, recommendations of wage increases and necessary corrective actionEnsure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirementsAuthorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field, or equivalentExperience:3 to 5 years of experience in the Quality FieldMinimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role.Skills:Must have strong interpersonal and customer-service skillsAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external customersAbility to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc...Capable of using basic measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc...Experience working with Windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Other:Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior noticeMust be able to work any assigned shift or overtime, as necessaryWork Environment This job operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. Some of the work will be performed in a plant environment where it may be loud Physical Demands: The employee frequently is required to sit, and occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
