We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and play a key role in overseeing the company's financial activities. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through thorough review and analysis.
Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial performance.

General Ledger Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary to reflect the financial activity of the company.
Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Work collaboratively with department heads to track and manage expenses.

Financial Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks or opportunities.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and presentations for management as needed.
Provide financial support for decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

Audit and Compliance:
Assist with the coordination of external audits and regulatory examinations.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.

Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Prepare and review tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other filings.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Work closely with external tax advisors to address tax-related issues and optimize tax strategies.

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounting procedures.
Implement changes to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy and productivity.
Proactively seek ways to optimize the use of accounting software and tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA designation preferred.
