MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas Inc. is to alleviate pain and suffering, in a spirit of justice and charity, through person-to-person involvement.SUMMARY: The Housekeeper performs various chores that contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the Center of Hope which provides veterans and non-veterans who may be recovering from substance abuse and/or mental illnesses, treatment, supportive services and programs to assist clients in achieving greater self-determination, self-sufficiency and permanent housing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :(These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Nothing in this job description restricts management's rights to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at this time) Ensures that all check-out rooms are properly cleaned and ready for move-inClean offices, lounges, corridors, hallways, stairwells, kitchenettes and laundry rooms and other work spaces of the COH.Wash and fold COH bed linensEmpty and clean trash receptaclesClean and sanitize showers and bathroomsSweep and mop floorsVacuum carpetsClean glass doors, including those in emergency exitsClean windowsDust blindsMonitor and report necessary repairs and replacementsClean in CARE Center as neededAll work should be performed according to standardsOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Complies with all applicable training requirementsComplies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and proceduresComplies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative teamPerforms other duties as necessary to fulfill the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas Inc. Working in an office/site requires prolonged sitting at the computer workstation; standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 40 lbs. and some driving. It is also required to regularly sit, speak, and listen, the employee is also required to walk, use hands and fingers to type, operate equipment, and maintain records and notes. On an as needed basis, employees may be called upon to work outside of the established work schedule, or work odd hours.
