In times of happiness and sadness, we are that caregiver" - www.bickfordseniorliving.com/caregivers-manifesto**Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check**RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONSResponsibilities:Plan and implement activities in the following categories: physical (exercise), social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, and special requests of the residents.Conduct/lead activities as needed.Develop activities according to residents' lifestyle choices.Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities.Chaperone activities outside the community.Operate a Bickford vehicle to transport residents to activities where applicable.Train, support, and instruct other team members to conduct activities.Develop a Monthly Activity Calendar that incorporates activities 7 days per week and includes evening and weekend activities.Plan, coordinate, and implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays.Coordinate food needs for scheduled activities with the kitchen.Operate activity program within Branch budget guidelines.Qualifications:High-school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in recreation or other health care related field preferred.A Certification in Assisted Living Activities is preferred but required.Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications.Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.Competent in organizational and time management skills.Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsA valid driver's license and a driving record consistent with Bickford's insurance carrier guidelines.ABOUT BICKFORD SENIOR LIVING: Bickford Senior Living is a community of caregivers who are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to enrich our resident's happiness.
