Job Description:

The Materials Handler ensures proper and timely flow of all materials and products from arrival until stored or shipped, following established policies and procedures. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

* Receives, stocks, and disburses parts or materials, loads or unloads trucks, and disburses parts, materials and supplies to other team members as required

* Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices

* Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items

* Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines

* Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped

* Demonstrates all safety policies and procedures

* Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment

* Demonstrates all safety policies and procedures

* Other responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma/GED

* 2+ years related experience

Skills and Knowledge:

* Ability to write, communicate and utilize math skills

* Skilled in using powered industrial trucks, material handling equipment and small hand tools

* Basic computer skills

* Capable of operating within structured/supervised environment and follow written and oral instructions with little supervision

El manipulador de materiales garantiza el flujo adecuado y oportuno de todos los materiales y productos desde su llegada hasta su almacenamiento o envo, siguiendo las polticas y procedimientos establecidos. Realiza las tareas fsicas o administrativas involucradas en el envo, recepcin, cumplimiento de pedidos, almacenamiento y distribucin de materiales, repuestos, suministros y equipos, siguiendo polticas, procedimientos y normas de seguridad.

Responsabilidades:

* Recibe, almacena y desembolsa piezas o materiales, carga o descarga camiones y desembolsa piezas, materiales y suministros a otros miembros del equipo segn sea necesario

* Desempaca y verifica los bienes recibidos contra rdenes de compra o facturas.

* Mantiene registros de bienes recibidos y rechaza artculos insatisfactorios

* Examina existencias y distribuye materiales en inventario y en lneas de fabricacin.

* Prepara y mantiene registros de la mercanca enviada

* Demuestra todas las polticas y procedimientos de seguridad.

* Publica pesos y cargos de envo y prepara los productos para el envo final

Educacin y experiencia:

* Diploma de preparatoria / GED

Habilidades y conocimientos:
