Job Description:Summary:Provide event set-up/manual labor assistance to Coordinator, Event Operations for non-baseball events at Citi Field including social events (Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, holiday parties), corporate events (trade shows, meetings), and large-scale events (concerts, field events, festivals), etc.Please note this is an on-call/part-time position. The amount of hours offered per week will depend on the number of events scheduled and the needs.Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Set up predetermined layouts prior to events, breakdown layouts following events and restore event spaces to standard layouts in various locations around Citi FieldTransport all equipment, furnishings, deliveries, and supplies prior to and following events, often utilizing handtrucks and cartsProtect all furniture during moves around the ballpark to ensure damage does not occurOrganize furniture storage in a neat and presentable mannerProfessionally represent Mets Events during shifts including communicating with vendors, event clients, and ballpark staffAssist Mets Events members during non-baseball events including tasks like guest and vendor check-in, guest wrist banding, directional assistance, etc.Other event duties as assignedRequirements: High School diploma requiredAble to work flexible hours, including early morning, nights, and weekendsMust be able to regularly lift and move furniture (ex. tables, couches) weighing a minimum of 150 lbs.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk lengthy distancesProfessional demeanor, strong work ethic, and motivation to complete the job correctlyTeam-oriented and able to follow directions in a timely mannerOther Skills & Abilities: Ability to interpret and execute predetermined layouts and read check lists for eventsAbility to balance responsibilities for multiple events simultaneouslyAbility to speak Spanish is a plus but not requiredThe above information is intended to describe the general nature, type, and level of work to be performed.
