Description
The Lead Auditor (LA) will have primary day-to-day responsibility for performing high level auditing tasks including developing and coordinating compliance assurance with applicable state licensing, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements. This position will require an individual to have a high level of attention to detail, an interest in ensuring documentation is in line with state and federal regulations, and a willingness to work cohesively with other departments regarding incorrect documentation.
This is a full time position (40 hours per week) and is located at our Benton office.
Duties include:
+ Emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and high performance in all quality assurance projects
+ Working with the rest of the QA team to review treatment plans, comp assessments, trackers, opening and annual paperwork for completeness and accuracy
+ Developing and implementing Agency policies and procedures as they relate to Quality Assurance
+ Learning and navigating record systems and ensuring that they are maintained in accordance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements
+ Performing and maintaining the monthly BHHO audit
+ Completing the monthly BHHO attestation
+ Ensuring effective internal controls are in place to assure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies
+ Analyzing data to identify areas of improvement in the quality system
+ Assisting in preparing annual reports to communicate outcome of quality activities
+ Supporting on-site audits conducted by external providers
+ Evaluating audit findings and reporting back to the Director of BH Programs
+ Auditing client records in accordance with MaineCare, OADS, licensing, AMHI Consent Decree, OCFS, DLRS, and all other stakeholders regulatory requirements.
+ Keeping up to date with all related quality legislation and compliance issues
+ Assisting with providing orientation to new employees regarding QA Department and its responsibilities
+ Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOP) for the department
+ Acting as the agency's HIPAA Compliance Officer
+ Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
+ Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine drivers license are required
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's Degree preferred
+ Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
+ Must be 18 years of age or older
+ Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
+ Minimum of five to ten years of experience in an auditing role.
+ Strong problem-solving skills
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality
+ High level of attention to detail
