Vaco, a global talent and solutions provider, is assisting a local municipality in their search for an Associate Director of Finance & Accounting. This position is onsite in the Elkton, MD area. No relocation is available.

This role will report to the Director of Finance but have key business partners both on a local and state level. Ability to communicate effectively and create relationships internally and externally is key. A deep understanding of government reporting standards is a must.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Ten years plus in accounting and finance
  • Strong experience in government accounting and reporting with an understanding of regulations and requirements
  • Technology driven with an ability to learn quickly and apply best practices to processes
  • Degree in Accounting and/or Finance is a must

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
