About The Role

The Strategic Account Manager is the primary contact for commercial customers and works in conjunction with the Business Developer to maintain and expand business in the territory. The Strategic Account Manager provides project management throughout the development lifecycle, from early-stage prototyping through commercialization. In early-stage developments the Account Manager works with customers and internal resources to establish the scope of work, cost projections, and quotations. In later stage programs the Account Managers coordinates qualification, validation, inventory and forecasting requirements with customers and internal resources.

What You Will Do

Identify and hand off new opportunities within assigned accounts to the business development team. Manage quote efforts and set prices for assigned commercial accounts in accordance with company goals. Act as the voice of the customer, identify and solicit opportunities to continuously improve the customer experience. Manage communication with both internal and external customers on assigned accounts. Manage forecast and aid management in updates and planning for assigned accounts. Process orders & conduct contract review for assigned accounts. Present quarterly on assigned account information including, but not limited to; target products, customer org chart, managing profit margins, target growth opportunities, etc. Write reports including but not limited to sales reports, proposals, and/or scorecards on assigned accounts. Travel to assigned accounts as required to maintain and grow our business. Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in a textile discipline preferred. Biomaterials or engineering degree suitable with appropriate experience above. Ability to lead technical projects and participate in strategic discussions amongst peers, management, clients and/or suppliers. Ability to work in a team-based environment emphasizing accountability for customer satisfaction and quality/GMP compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized and detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment.
