SUMMARY The Design Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery and be responsible for process improvement and engineering documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. • Conduct analytical studies on engineering proposals to develop designs for mechanical equipment and machinery.

• Use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment.

• Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing methods.

• Prepare detailed drawings and schematics.

• Plan and develop experimental test programs.

• Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.

• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards

• Organize and maintain engineering records • Keep abreast of technological changes and developments in industry.

• Assist with projects and other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE bachelor’s degree in industrial design, Mechanical Engineering or related field AND five (5) years of related experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. COMPUTER SKILLS Possess excellent knowledge AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, And Project. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as design drawings and schematics. Ability to write general correspondence and technical reports. Ability to speak effectively in meetings.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry
