Responsibilities: Performs field investigation, roadway/highway design, grading and drainage, ped ramp design, utilities, green Infrastructure, work zone traffic control, site layout, and other associated transportation engineering duties. Develops civil/highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details utilizing engineering software (such as, AutoCAD and Microstation, etc.). Prepares technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and other contract documents. Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution. Provides support for other engineering activities as required. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 0-2 years of related work experience NYCDOT/NYCDDC civil/highway experience preferred Familiarity with NYCDDC, NYCDOT, and/or NYCDEP standards and specifications preferred Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microstation software, as well as working knowledge of other PC software packages typically associated with engineering Strong verbal and written communication skill. Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
