QUALITY SYSTEMS ENGINEER

DESCRIPTION:
This is an exciting time to join Stoelzle Glass USA. We are part of a successful 200 year old family owned Austrian company. The family recently purchased a glass manufacturing facility in Monaca, PA and we are establishing our presence in the US. We are significantly investing in this operation with big plans for growth. PURPOSE:
This role will own, develop and administer all quality documentation and systems to include SOPs, HACCP, Work Instructions and ISO. In addition this position will own pest control and hygiene behavior for a manufacturing operation that makes food grade glass containers. This position will support the quality audit process as well as being customer facing. Some travel will be required.

Key Accountabilities:
Implementation, development and maintenance of the site management systems
Administration of site documents
Creation, change and administration of standard operating procedures (SOP) and Working instructions (WI) for all plant processes
Planning and executing internal process and supplier audits
Accompanying and supporting the quality manager during customer and certification audits
Planning hygiene audits and supervising cleaning and hygiene status of facility
Supervising hygiene behavior of employees in shop floor
Management and documentation of changes and process deviations
Support and management of HACCP documentation
Management and supervising of pest control provider

Key Job Competencies AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic knowledge of management systems e.g. ISO 9001 and ISO 22000
Highly proficient with MS-Office (Word, Excel) and good understanding of SOP writing
Experience with issuing, reviewing documents and technical writing
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Internal auditor training and certification
Experience with HACCP and relevant training will be highly appreciated
Experience and training with hygiene requirements in food packaging industry
Must be highly organized and have attention to detail
Must be self-motived working independently and effectively multi-task
Must have completed technical school, college or university education in

Food/Science/Studies

and/or Quality-related discipline
Good knowledge and understanding of Basic quality tools (PDCA, root cause analysis etc.)
