We are currently hiring for a Staff Pharmacist

Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

Location: Monaca, PA

Hours: Mon - Fri, 5:00AM-1:30PM, 1:30PM-10:00PM - Rotating shifts, will work early shift 3 weeks/month, 1 week/month on later shift. May be asked on occasion to work a few additional hrs on a Sat, but shift is Mon-Fri for the most part

We engage virtually with patients to ensure accurate prescription records are maintained in order to achieve improved prescription drug adherence. Job Summary:

The Staff Pharmacist dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical supplies to fill written prescriptions issued by physicians, dentists, and other qualified prescribers.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate within professional standards and compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Perform professional duties associated with processing prescriptions to meet objectives while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Compound, dispense, check, and verify all prescription and health-related product orders in accordance with governing laws and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain Pharmacy Department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Assist in training and supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Monitor pharmacy associates' performance.
  • Assist in ensuring profitable operations of the Pharmacy Department, including purchasing, inventory control, and drug product selection.
  • Review pharmacy audit reports and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Implement audit and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise medication distribution systems and packaging procedures.
  • Maintain files, records, and submit required pharmacy reports.
  • Consult with patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals as required.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships within the medical community.
  • Resolve customer complaints and recommend corrective action plans.
  • Treat all patients with respect and courtesy while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Attend company meetings as requested and contribute positively to the organization's image within the community.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Proficiency in automated prescription systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of PioneerRx clinical software system (a plus).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, associates, clients, and the general public.

Education and Experience:

- B.S. Pharmacy degree or Pharm. D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a license by the IN State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy in the state of PA
