SummaryThe sales manager oversees new- and used-vehicle inventory and sales. Core ResponsibilitiesSupervise, hire and train sales team, and acquire or order new and used vehicles.Sales manager may be required to:Establish measurable performance goals using gross and net profits, unit sales, etc. for monthly, quarterly and annual targets.Inspire and motivate team to attain sales goals.Evaluate each team member's performance and productivity.Use merchandising and displays to promote sales of new and used vehicles.Develop sales campaigns, and monitor factory-sponsored programs.Review budgets, market and sales projections.Attend manager meetings.Coordinate activities between sales and other departments.In addition, sales manager should:Possess basic math skills.Be capable of speaking with customers or employees; reading/understanding manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety regulations; and writing financial/marketing reports and other correspondence.Be professional and courteous in attitude, wardrobe and grooming.Complete other duties as assigned. Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree from four-year college/university, two to four years work-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Manufacturer Training State Sales LicenseValid Driver's License
