Offers friendly, courteous assistance to every patient to ensure that the patient has a positive, professional experience while at Johns Hopkins. Since most administrative tasks will be expedited with the use of automated scheduling, registration, and billing systems, the patient coordinator will need to be proficient on the appropriate computer systems. Knowledge: Knowledge of business, insurance and/or medical terminology and an excellent command of English grammar and spelling. Education/ Work Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. 6 Months to 1-year experience. Required Licensure, Certification: EPIC certification required within 90 days. Medical terminology certification required or must pass JHH medical terminology assessment with a grade of 70% or complete a 10-12-week medical terminology course with a grade of 70% within the first year of employment to maintain position. Shift: Full Time (40 hours) Day Shift Non-Exempt *** Effective January 1st 2022, you must be fully vaccinated with an FDA COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof of your vaccination status as part of your occupational health screening. Exceptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement may be granted to individuals for religious beliefs or medical reasons by following the proper protocols.
