We are looking for an IT Intern to join our team in Hercules, CA. This is a unique opportunity to work with our Information Technology business unit and gain practical experience in the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity. As an IT Intern, you will be assigned project-focused opportunities and work alongside our professional team to make a real impact.
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will:
- Be assigned project-focused opportunities to work alongside our professional team.
- Have hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in the fast-paced and ever-evolving cybersecurity industry.
- Collaborate with team members and internal business partners of various levels from across the organization to ensure business requirements are met without compromising security.
- Monitor, identify, and report security vulnerabilities.
- Engage in scripting, coding, and task automation to streamline security processes.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of documentation for policies and operating procedures.
How You'll Make An Impact:
- Assist in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security protocols and policies.
- Participate in cloud security assessments.
- Participate in incident response efforts.
What You Bring:
- Education: Rising Junior or Senior or recent graduate at a 4-year college/university with 3.0 GPA in Cybersecurity field
- Work Experience: none
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of cyber security
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- The ability to work independently within departmental policies and guidelines
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
