This position is responsible for overseeing Quality Control processes and procedures; dispositioning part quality issues; and enforcing FIA company policies, procedures, and performance expectations by managing and coaching team members.
- Oversight of Quality Control department processes and procedures
- Investigate non-conformities and assist with creating short-term countermeasures
- Conduct, monitor and direct containment and sort procedures
- Assist team members with achieving goals related to the company Hoshin
- Audit and enforce compliance with Standard Work Instructions and Quality Work Instructions
- Comply with and enforce internal controls and policies
- Comply with and enforce Safety Regulations
- Coordinate training with team members
- Ensure proper management of Quality tools and equipment
- Interprets Specifications to Workers and Assigns Duties
- Investigation & Countermeasures of Machinery, Quality and Efficiency Issues
- Monitor internal scrap causes and costs
- Monitors Check Fixture Accuracy & Quality Activity
- Monitor and Oversee Improvement of Inspector and Team Leader Skill Level
- Oversee the Periodic Evaluation of Employees
- Quality and Efficiency- (Quality Standards and Measurements)
- Promote "Cross Training" & Continuous Improvement Within All Assigned Areas
- Draft NONC Documents
- Communication with Custom
- Disposition of Quality Issues
- Manage Overtime and Weekend Manning
- Track and analyze department KPI
- Resolve quality problems as they are revealed.
- Distribute all QPR/QIR documents per FIA QWI196 (Initial QPR.QIR Handling Flowchart)
- Audit Sample Data Sheets on a daily basis to ensure product compliance and that the forms are being completed per instruction. Areas that do not comply shall be reported to the Assistant Quality Control Manager.
- Communicate with out sourced sort company to comply with supplier sort needs.
- Provide short term CM, sort confirmation at customer, and clean point for any external documents.
- Contact QC or QA Manager for any possible NONC or Delta S nonconformance.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have proficient oral and written communication skill
- Must be able to work the company's required overtime.
- Must comply with FIA's Attendance Policy.
- Must be able to multi task
- Must be able and willing to enforce all company rules and Quality procedures.
- Must have a good understanding of Toyota Inspection Standard
- Attention to Detail, Office Equipment Usage, Computer Usage, Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Multi-Tasking, Problem Solving, Team Participation, Motivation to Learn New Skills,
- Work Environment: Work is typically performed in both an office and production environment
- Must be able to use a variety of tools and equipment such as computer terminal for data input, copy machines, calculator and any other equipment related to functional area.
- Noise Levels: Moderate Noise
