Opening for a full-time Legal Secretary. We are an established and reputable law firm with 15 offices throughout the state.

Mullen & Filippi provides legal services to California employers on issues arising from workplace injuries and other employment related concerns. We offer a friendly and supportive work environment. PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Format and proofread transcription that has been digitally transcribed and edit legal documents for correct grammar and punctuation.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, medical examinations and other court designated hearings.
  • Act as a liaison between client and attorney by furnishing and requesting information as needed to assist in completion of administrative reports as required by client or assigned by office management.
  • Draft routine correspondence.
  • Assist attorney with trial preparation, including preparation of trial exhibits.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of legal secretary workers' compensation defense experience and EAMS filing required
  • Have a personable and friendly character
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Tech savvy with the ability to learn and become proficient in using case management software.
  • Able to identify urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • This has the opportunity of becoming a hybrid position

Position requires sitting for up to 6 hours per day while keyboarding and physical activity including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, repetitive motions and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
