**Position Summary**

We are looking for a safety minded, diligent, organized, hard-working candidate who will help be responsible for management of chemical, seed, and other agricultural deliveries to farmers. Oversees all functions and ensures smooth operation of driving, delivery and customer experience.

**Responsibilities**

* This is a short to medium distance driving and delivery position with local deliveries to farms or other agriculture related sites.

* Manage the product flow and paperwork duties including providing packing slips, getting BOLs signed, and uploading the documentation into the transportation system.

* Operate a Farmers Business Network owned truck ( Medium Box = Tandem axle box truck (GVWR ~ 52K lbs; Payload ~30K lbs)

* Adhere to the compliance of all legal and safety procedures including all driving and warehouse roles, regulations and company policies and procedures.

* Ensure the proper functioning of all tools and equipment on the truck.

* Ensure the correct orders are safely loaded, accurate to the packing slips, and ready for delivery.

* Coordinate outflow of product delivered to farmers with direct customer interactions and coordination of delivery times and instructions.

* Report defects, accidents or violations.

* Support the Farmers Business Network during the offseason with relationship building and new customer acquisition. This could include ride alongs with sales representatives, customer calls or dropping off information to potential customers while in a delivery area.

* Support the Farmers Business Network transportation team and company mission through ad hoc projects as needed.

**Minimum Qualifications**

* Current Class B license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement (or ability to obtain endorsements) and clean driving record

* Minimum 2 years Class B working experience

* Proven work experience managing multiple stops and direct deliveries

* Knowledge of the safety and legal documentation processes for handling related driving, delivery and warehouse activities (MSDS, Equipment checklist, BOL)

* Should have excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities

* Ability to effectively manage time, work autonomously and resolve crisis and decision making

* Willingness and ability to cover occasional weekend deliveries during peak season

* Willingness to help with other transportation team or broader Farmers Business Network related activities during the off season

* Clean/Pass DOT drug/alcohol and physical

* Experience with ELD/Elogs, Hours of Service, and Pre & Post Trip Inspections

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Working understanding of WMS system

* Hazmat endorsement

* Acceptable incident history

* Comply with safety regulations

* Ability to safely handle equipment used to physically move inventory

* Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations (including ELD/Elogs, Hours of Service, and Pre & Post Trip Inspections)

* Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

* Customer facing and service oriented experience

*The following represents FBN's reasonable estimate of the US national average base salary range of possible compensation for this role based on market data and placement of internal employees: $24.00 - $27.00 hourly.*
