Position: Press Brake Operator

Shift: 1st Shift (6:15 am - 3:00 pm)

Pay: $20 - $25/hr

Location: Dallas, TX 75208 (Bishop Arts Area)

Job Summary

Atlantis Employment Services is seeking a highly skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will play a vital role in the fabrication, assembly, and inspection of high-quality products. Your expertise in operating and maintaining brake press machines, coupled with your keen attention to detail, will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Press Brake Machines: Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates according to specifications and blueprints.

  • Fabricate Parts: Use press brake machines and related tools to fabricate parts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
  • Quality Inspections: Perform thorough quality inspections to verify that finished parts meet all specifications and standards. Use precision measuring instruments to confirm dimensions and tolerances.
  • Machine Setup: Prepare and set up press brake machines by installing and adjusting dies, stops, and other fixtures based on specific job requirements.
  • Monitor Operations: Continuously monitor machine operations to ensure smooth and efficient production. Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and prevent defects.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during production, including machine malfunctions and material defects. Perform minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain Work Area: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in safety training and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining brake press machines and related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in measuring and inspecting finished parts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
