Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Press Brake Operator for a large, well-known client in Dallas, TX. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate Trumpf Press BrakeMeasure materials and equipment using tape measures, calipers and protractors as neededSet up tooling stations per the provided set-up planMake angle corrections to ensure final product is correctWear appropriate PPE including safety glasses, face shields, gloves, hardhat, dust masks etc.Move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standardsAssemble items as instructed by department supervisorKeep work area clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilitiesFollow all company rules and policiesProvide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.Follow all safety rules and quality standardsWork with your department team to maximize productivity and efficiencyMay have to prepare product for shipmentLift materials, final products and items packed for shipment manually (up to 60 pounds)Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities aboveMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishKnowledge and SkillsMust have Press Brake Experience, preferably on a CNC controlled press brake, Trumpf equipment experience preferredAble to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manualsKnowledge of angles and how to make angle correctionsMust be able to listen, read, write and communicate effectivelyMust have basic mathematical skillsAbility to lift heavy items up to 60 poundsAbility to identify and measure materialAbility to produce quality products consistentlyAbility to follow instruction given both verbally and in written formWillingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethicAbility to multitask and prioritizeFamiliarity with metric systemWilling to work 40 per week and must be flexible to work overtime to meet production schedules and departmental needs.Work EnvironmentMust be willing to work in a manufacturing environment with no climate control. The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime. The noise level may be high at times. Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.Physical Demands:Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. This job may require bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, kneeling, climbing, jumping, and walking among other activity. Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to a problem. Active listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being make, asking questions when appropriate, and not interrupting others.
