Manages all ECO duties including, supplier communication, updating PO revisions, coordinating implementation dates, first article requirements and keep internal teams updated. Interfaces with operational staff on the planning and forecasting of customer orders to meet shipments. Manages within supplier’s long-term agreements of qualified suppliers to reduce costs and improve quality and service. Owns the entire supplier process and continuously monitors supplier performance while maintaining excellent supplier relations. Works closely with the accounting team to maintain acceptable payment terms and resolves invoice disputes timely. Maintains an efficient process in dealing with supplier quality and product returns. Provides support and assistance to the receiving and incoming inspection group in timely problem resolution. Provides timely and effective communication of important issues to manager Capable of recommending improvements to purchasing processes Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: BS degree or equivalent Preferred Certification in Inventory Management, APICS and/or Procurement, C.P.M. Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a buyer/planner preferably in the medical device or semiconductor industry Technical level expertise in principals of procurement in a medium volume production environment Technical level expertise in planning, negotiation and contracting for specification controlled and commodity products Proven track record of teamwork and cultivating strong vendor relationships Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience in SAP preferred. Working knowledge of MRP systems, including order management and planning tools Experienced in interpreting MRP demands to buy requirements.
