responsibilities:

  • Full design ownership of coolant transfer system from start to finish.

  • Lead continuous improvement activities, focusing on Quality, Mass, and Cost initiatives.

  • Coordinate with Design groups and Application center to develop balanced coolant distribution routing for functional thermal management systems.

  • Ensure timely project delivery within budget.

  • Problem-solve and determine best methods to validate designs.

  • Document best practices and create know-how initiatives.

  • Manage tasks using analytical and critical thinking skills.
Who You Are

  • Experienced mechanical engineer with strong design experience in developing complex coolant routing systems and their attachments and connections.

  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, energetic, and global environment.

  • Proven ability to interact with cross-functional and cross-site product development activities.
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

  • strong understanding of physics principles (heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics) for EV systems.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in thermal systems engineering, preferably in the EV automotive or trucking industry, focusing on hardware design, release, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience in establishing innovative processes and methodologies.

  • Expertise in design documentation and product data management.

  • Advanced CAD experience (PTC CREO preferred) and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and generate engineering documents, including drawings, technical specifications, Test and Validation Procedures, and design best practices.
Professional Skills

  • Leading design reviews for automotive/trucking industry components, preferably coolant transfer systems.

  • Good interpretation of technical requirements for vehicle components, subsystems, and full systems.

  • Able to conduct and lead DFMEA's.

  • Working knowledge of cooling circuits in electric vehicles.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the design of components and systems with minimal support.

  • strong problem-solving skills.

  • Cross-collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
