Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Thermal Systems

Stefanini Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing thermal management systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop thermal management systems for our clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets functional and performance requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance design processes and tools
  • Coordinate with design groups and application centers to develop balanced coolant distribution routing
  • Deliver project activities and milestones on time and within budget
  • Problem solve and determine best methods to validate designs
Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of related professional experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Good understanding of physics principles for heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in thermal systems engineering, preferably in the EV automotive or trucking industry
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up new and innovative processes and methodologies
  • Expertise in design documentation and product data management
  • Advance CAD experience, preferably with PTC CREO
  • Ability to read, interpret, and generate engineering documents
Professional Skills:
  • Leading design reviews of automotive/trucking industry components
  • Good interpretation of technical requirements for vehicle components, subsystems, and full systems
  • Able to conduct and lead DFMEA's
  • Working knowledge of cooling circuits for electric vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design components and systems with minimal support
  • Problem solving and cross collaboration
