Overview:Acuityis seeking a Twilio Platform Engineer with at least a Secret Clearance to support a cabinet level government agency with the configuration and operations of Twilio as a platform for agency customers.Responsibilities:The candidate will have responsibility for:Design and configuration of Twilio platform to customer requirements.Assisting with security of the Twilio platform to include applicable NIST controls.Working on an agile DevSecOps team in an engineering role, taking responsibility for providing technical solutions to user stories, estimating points required for each story, updating the team daily on progress, and collaborating on all Agile ceremonies with the team.Qualifications:The following skills are required:Advanced development skills applicable to the Twilio ecosystem like TwiML, PythonAdvanced HTML development skillsAdvanced Twilio development and architecture skillsAdvanced experience in promoting code up the stack via both application repository and update sets and diagnosing and fixing any errors that may occurExperience using and building interfaces with the Twilio APIFundamental knowledge of SMSExperience operating large-scale, distributed systems on top of cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Compute Platform (GCP)Deep understanding of architectural patterns of high-scale web applications (e.g., well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms)A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with good communication skills, a sense of ownership, and driveAbility to perform Twilio ConfigurationAbility to derive architecture that follows best practice from functional requirementsAbility to design relational databases following best practiceExperience being part of cross functional teams to identify operational procedures and best practices in accordance with patch management strategyExperience with ensuring that the Twilio instance is running the most current patch levelAbility to perform upgrades, patches, and hot fixes when available to ensure the risk of potential vulnerabilities are mitigatedFundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networksExcellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team membersExperience troubleshooting and resolving platform performance issuesMinimum of 5yrs experience on Twilio or similar SaaS PlatformExperience and strong knowledge of coding best practicesRequired Clearance:Must Have an Active DOD Secret-level security clearanceAbout Acuity Inc:Acuity is a leading management and technology consulting firm that specializes in serving the federal government.
