REPORTS TO:
DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT NON-AUTOMOTIVE

SALES & ESTIMATING
DUTIES:
Fori Automation is seeking an experienced Application Engineer for our Non-Automotive division, reporting to the Director of Business Development, Non-Automotive and work within the sales and estimating team of 3-5 other individuals. This Application Engineer will primarily support North American programs and pursue new RFQ and Sales opportunities. Candidate must be highly competent or proficient in the following areas:
Develop and maintain strong business and customer relationships improving the reputation with key customer/account stakeholders.
Utilize standards, specifications and line-up information presented by the customer to develop competitive proposals.
Disseminate the customer’s Technical Specifications and the manufacturing feasibility of customer requested processes/applications.
Seeking solutions to customers problems or requests and development of associated technical proposals with good presentation skills
Provide regular follow-up with customers both current and future to establish consistent communication.
Comprehension of mechanical and control prints
Propose required equipment and processes to meet customer requirements.
Prepare cost proposals utilizing elements of cost provided by Operations, QA, Purchasing, Engineering, and Vendors.
Help create an assembly automated process, cost estimate and an RFQ response to the customer.
Prepare cost proposals utilizing elements of cost provided by Operations, QA, Purchasing, Engineering, and Finance.
Working level and competent in Inventor and/or ACAD
Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Able to work in an office setting and team environment.
Daily Responsibilities Include ( but are not limited to) :
Customer interaction and new business development.
Ability to multitask between multiple projects, meetings, and daily priorities within the group.
Work cohesively with the internal project team on any commercial needs or support once a project is kicked-off.
Prepare responses to RFQs and RFI’s in the form of a Proposal Letter and Quotation, ensuring best technical and commercial solutions are being used.
Attends sales and marketing meetings and internal training sessions as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Strong Technical & Presentational Skills. English proficiency, Team Player. Preferred BSME/BSMET and 5 years of relevant experience OR 10 years of relevant industry experience. Effective interpersonal skills with employees, management and customers.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
Must have a Technical Degree
TRAVEL:
Travel is approximately ~20%
