Description

The Estimator is responsible for:

  • Reviewing and understanding all aspects of construction documents for Residential projects
  • Performing takeoffs and developing conceptual budgets utilizing past data
  • Developing, communicating, and understanding the company's pricing strategy
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with potential/ current clients and subcontractors
  • Utilizing Construction scheduling software to detail milestones in the pre-construction schedule
  • Obtaining the best pricing for materials and bids from subcontracts
  • Developing and maintaining resource information on products, vendors, subcontracts, etc
  • Maintaining the Estimating Coordinator to publish RFPs to subcontractor
  • Serving as a mentor to Estimating Coordinator(s)

Profile

The right Estimator has the following qualifications:

  • Experience in construction estimating residential projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields
  • Self motivated, able to work independently as well as alongside a team
  • Ability to strategize and manage the client's expectations
  • Able to be successful in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under tight time lines to hit project deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
