I'm partnered with the CFO at a growing privately-held, multi-million dollar company located near Burr Ridge, IL, with remote flexibility. This company is a national leader in the Sporting Industry and manufactures custom equipment for athletes and consumer. Due to the rapid growth through key strategic acquisitions, they are now looking to bring on a Senior Accountant, who has a strong Public Accounting background.

Client Details

I am currently working with the a growing privately-held, multi-million dollar company located near Burr Ridge, IL. This company is a national leader in the Sporting Industry and manufactures custom equipment for athletes and consumer.
Reporting into the Controller, you will be exposed to various areas within the accounting and finance function. You will drive continuous process improvements and partner with senior leaders across various disciplines to provide key financial analysis to support the business' growth. The individual who can come in and build these relationships with upper management will have numerous opportunities elsewhere in the company to advance their career

Description

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Present financial data to management for decision-making.
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and analyze account variances, providing explanations and insights.
  • Streamline accounting processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather data and assess financial performance.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, providing insights for strategic planning.
  • Perform profitability analysis, cost assessments, and ROI evaluations.
  • Present analysis findings to stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GAAP, and internal controls.
  • Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial matters and projects.

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Designation
  • 2-3 years of Big 4 Audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good leadership qualities
