Job Description:

  • Join our dynamic team at Pharmaceutical as a Fermentation Process Development Engineer. In this role, you will design, optimize, and scale up fermentation processes for the production of biotechnological products. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful translation of lab-scale processes to large-scale production. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of biotechnology and the development of high-quality pharmaceuticals, enzymes, and biofuels.
  • Design, optimize, and scale up fermentation processes for biotechnological product production.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize fermentation conditions.
  • Collaborate with research scientists to select suitable strains or microorganisms.
  • Perform process optimization and troubleshooting to ensure consistent product output.
  • Develop process control strategies and collaborate with engineers on equipment design.
  • Work closely with quality control professionals to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in fermentation technology and contribute to process improvement.
  • 1 -2 days per week requires routine out-of-hours working to support laboratory work. Late night or early morning before normal business hours.
  • Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40hrs./week
  • Pay Rate: $50 - 61/Hour
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree, Master Degree
  • 4+ Years of experience in fermentation process development, optimization, and scale up
  • Experience with operating glass and stainless steel lab bioreactors (Preferred: 1L up to 100L)
  • Contract to Start, conversion/extension on performance
